Murrysville is a beautiful, suburban community conveniently located just a short drive away from Pittsburgh. The community was established in 1820 by its namesake founder, Jeremiah Murray. Today, the municipality is largely residential, with many beautiful neighborhoods to choose from. Murrysville is home to wonderful parks, a great school system, and a friendly community, making it a truly great place to live.
 
With plenty of small and large businesses, Murrysville does not fall short in convenience or entertainment. A variety of local and chain restaurants provide residents with a range of venues to enjoy a meal. Shopping offers everything from locally owned boutiques to major, national retailers. The municipality is dedicated to the success of new and local businesses. The community works with the Murrysville Economic and Community Development Corporation to bring new business ventures into Murrysville. Helping to achieve this, a recently received grant is planned to bring sidewalks, landscaping, and lighting to the Old William Penn Highway.
 
The community hosts an annual “Community Day”, where children's activities, food vendors, live music, art shows and more bring together residents for fun and celebration. The night ended with a brilliant fireworks display. A variety of recreational programs are also hosted in Murrysville. For the young and old, programs focusing on art, fitness, science, and more are offered in the community throughout the year.
